The Exhibition Barge "RENATE-ANGELIKA"

2006 there developed, in close collaboration between the BBSG and the Wasser- und Schifffahrtsamt [Office of Waterways and Shipping], the new special exhibition: "100 Jahre Teltowkanal" [100 years of the Teltow Canal]. The office made available extensive material in the form of texts, photos and pictures.
The canal was festively opened by Kaiser Wilhelm II on 2 Januar 1902 as an especially important piece of waterway engineering: the Spree-Dahme-Havel-Connection. Ernst von Stubenrauch, recorded as the creator of the canal, had realized his life work.
In a ceremonial act on 1 June 2006, above the Kleinmachnow lock, the Association opened the exhibition in the "RENATA ANGELIKA" and made the interpretation real for the many guests.

In April 2008 the special exhibition "Alt-Berlin, vergangen und vergessen" ["Old Berlin, Gone and forgotten"] was opened with extensive work of the artist Dieter Haase. For many years the artist had sought to enlarge his collection of Berlin images to remind one of the constantly changing and renewing city, and of the historic, no longer existing, architectural fabric of the old Berlin.

2010 the exhibition "150 Jahre Hugo Junkers" recognized a genial business personality from the time of the Second World War. As an outstanding example of the classical universally-educated, Junkers represented, in many technical disciplines, an innovative, visionary sense of the demands of his time. Under his own steam he undertook research and the translation of the results into production compatible products which earned Hugo Junkers a firm place in the academic and technical chronicles of industrial history.

To show Junkers' many faceted accomplishments as pioneer, inventor, businessman and visionary, the displays were divided accordingly to five areas: Biography, Heating technology, Aircraft manufacture, Machinery and motor construction, and the Third Reich. The presentation in BBSG's museum ship of the variety of Junkers diesel motors attracted particular attention.

Additionally the BBSG took part in the November 2010 Berliner Bootsmesse [Berlin Boatshow] "Boot und Fun" with a stand in the "Classic Hall". A selection of the museum presentation was pulled together and very successfully displayed.
